History of the 6.8 Western:
The 6.8 Western was introduced in the Spring of 2021 by Winchester in one of worth panic buying gun and ammunition shortages ever.
The 6.8 is slightly shorter case then the 270 WSM (Winchester Short Magnum) which uses less powder for long range hunting with . 277 caliber, long and heavy165 grain bullet with good long distance ballistics at a lower velocity, less recoil and longer barrel life.
