Description

One Cartridge, not a box, the picture of the box is for reference only!

One Cartridge not a box: .22 Creedmoor produced by Copper Creek Cartridge Company, using new brass cases with a “Copper Creek (insignia?) .22 Creedmoor” Head-Stamp and loaded with a 90 grain Sierra Match-King, JHP ( Jacketed Hollow Point) projectile

History of the .22 Creedmoor cartridge:
Introduced for the general public in mid-2018, the 22 Creedmoor was a wildcat caliber, produced by necking down the *6.5mm Creedmoor to accept the smaller .22 cal. projectile.
From what I have read, the .22 Creedmoor was a wildcat designed by GAP (Georgia Precision) specifically to shoot long, heavy .22 caliber bullets at high velocity while providing a good barrel life and flawless feeding from detachable mags.*
The 6.5 Creedmoor was introduced in 2007 by Hornady, based on the .308 case; In other words, the .22 Creedmoor is very close to a .22/.243 Winchester wildcat, with a little better case design and neck angle.
Ballistics: a 90 grain projectile in .22″ diameter is app. 3,300 feet per second muzzle velocity using a barrel with a recommended twist of  1to7 ″, producing app.  2,100 foot pounds of energy.
