One Cartridge, not a box: .30 T/C ( T/C for Thompson Center) by Hornady, factory loaded with new Hornady brass cases with the “HORNADY 30 T/C” Head-Stamp and loaded with a 165 grain SST or PCJHP (Plastic Covered Jacketed Hollow Point) projectile.

History of the .30 T/C Cartridge:.

30 T/C (T/C for Thompson Center) was developed by Hornady and Thompson Center as aproprietary cartridge for the Thompson Center’s Icon bolt-action rifle and introduced in 2007.

At first glance, the 30 T/C, looks like a .308 Winchester Cartridge  shortened by 1/8 of an inch.Below is what Hornady said  about the 30 T/C in 2007:”Quite possibly the most technologically advanced cartridge ever developed, the new Hornady30 T/C was specifically designed for Thompson Center’s new Icon bolt-action rifle.

Built on the premise of optimal ballistics, Hornady has perfected the balance between case volume, bore volume and burn rates for both the 150 and 165 grain offerings.

The 30 T/C is slightly smaller in capacity than the 308 Winchester, but delivers ballistic performance exceeding the 30-06.With a muzzle velocity of 3000 feet per Second, the 150 grain load outperforms the 308 Win by 180 fps and outperforms the 30-06 by nearly 100 fps.”
