History of 303 Savage Cartridge:
The 303 Savage was originally developed as an possible military cartridge in 1895 and was later introduced to the general public in 1899 for use in the famous Savage 1899 Lever -Action Hunting Rifle.
The caliber is similar looking to the 30-30 Winchester caliber, and the ballistics are about the same as the 30-30 Winchester.
It is currently no longer available from the major ammunition makers, and considered long obsolete.
