Description

One Cartridge, not a box, the picture of the box is for reference only!

CAUTION: this will kill at close range!

One Cartridge not a box, 38 Special T.H.O.R.  For (Thermo Hydro-static Ordnance Round) by ThunderZap Ammunition  Inc. Using (then new) 1987 Federal Cartridge Company brass cases with a “FC 87″ Head Stamp and loaded with a molded plastic with a huge hollow point or as stated  called T.H.O.R (for Thermo Hydro-static Ordnance Round) bullet.

History of the 38 Special T.H.O.R. cartridge and the ThunderZap Ammunition Inc:
This was introduced in the late 1980s by Bruce McArthur, owner of  ThunderZap Ammunition Inc. of Morrice, Michigan in the  USA; however, the ammunition was manufactured by a separate company that was made up of Bruce McArthur, Rich & Karen Davis and Bill Stenbeck.
The bullet was molded plastic with a huge hollow point or other wise called T.H.O.R (for Thermo Hydro-static Ordnance Round) bullet. It was meant to be a safe for home defense use with good lethal stopping power, yet very short range to avoid collateral damage.
The ammunition was ultra high velocity – 2800 feet per second out of a 4-inch revolver.
The idea may have been before it’s time and if after 911 (Sept, 11, 2001) may have been a good idea for the airline agencies, but it never seemed to take off in the late 1980s and the company was dissolved after a few years.

History of the 38 Smith & Wesson 38 Special Cartridge:
The Smith & Wesson .38 Special, also known as the .38 S&W Special, .38 Special, and .38 Colt Special (back in the day) was introduced in 1902 for the Smith & Wesson Model 10 revolver.
It was and is still used in many, many different countries for their military and police departments and is considered one of the best handgun cartridges of all time, balancing recoil with takedown power.
Although replaced in modern times by more semi-auto firearms calibers, the .38 S&W Special in a “2″ Snub Nose Revolver” is still considered one of the best concealed carry firearms today in 2016. That is over 110 years of great service and still going strong.
