One Cartridge, Not a Box: .405 Winchester, Limited production  by Hornady, factory loaded with new Hornady brass cases with “ HORNADY405 WIN” Head-Stamp and loaded with a 300 grain JSP ( Jacketed Soft Point) projectile.

History of the.405 Winchester cartridge:
The 405 Winchester was the most powerful rimmed cartridge developed in 1904 for the Winchester Model 1895 lever-action rifle. Theodore loved this caliber and helped make it famous on his African hunts.
It was not used much in this country as it was over powered and not a long range cartridge, and became obsolete in the late 1930’s to early 1940’s.
Hornady re-introduced the caliber in a limited production, however to my knowledge Winchester and Remington have not manufactured in recent years, accept for a Winchester limited “Theodore Roosevelt” production.
