History of the 44 Remington Magnum Cartridge:
The 44 Remington Magnum was introduced in 1955 by Remington and the Smith & Wesson Company to make a great hunting revolver cartridge.
At that time of introduction, it was the most powerful handgun in the world.
Clint Eastwood made the revolver famous in the movie “Dirty Harry” in 1971, but it is the cartridge that give the firearm it’s power.
This is the most famous revolver caliber in the United States. However it is no longer the most powerful.
