History of the 577 Tyrannosaur cartridge:
The 577 Tyrannosaur , a.k.a. 577 T-Rex was the largest Proprietary Cartridge introduced in 1993 by the now closed A-Square Company as an entirely brand new Cartridge for the A-Squire rifle.
The 750 Grain Full Metal Jacketed projectile moves at 2,460 Feet per Second, to generate over 10,180 Foot Pounds of Energy.

History of the American Hunting Rifles, Inc:
American Hunting Rifles, Inc. was founded in 1998 by Ed Plummer in Hamilton, Montana. AHR was first known for introducing the Howell line of big game cartridges, which were designed by well known firearms writer Ken Howell.
AHR then began development of truly big bore cartridges such as the 500 AHR, 585 AHR , and 600 Overkill.
The 600 OK which was designed by Rob Garnick, has become the leader in ultra big bore stopping power.
In the fall of 2007, Wayne Jacobson purchased American Hunting Rifles.
Wayne has closely worked with Ed as head of design and production for AHR.
Along with this transition, comes the introduction of the newest and biggest in AHR line of cartridges, the 700 AHR.
This brute was designed by Ed and Wayne to become the King of the big bore bolt-action rifles. (Note all AHR cartridges have rebated rims.)
