History of 6.5x54mm MS cartridge:
The 6.5x54mm MS, (MS for Mannlicher Schoenauer ) “RIMLESS” cartridge originated in Greece for the Greek military for use in the 1903 Mannlicher bolt-action rifle, and it was the first of many cailibers chambered in this rifle.
Later it was used in the Austrian Mannlicher Schoeauer rifle for sporting use.
There also is “Rimmed” version; 6.5x53Rmm Mannlicher used in Dutch and Romanian rifles in 1892 -1893.Not to be confused, or the same as the 6.5X54mm Mauser, 6.5x57mm Mauser, 6.5x55mm Swedish Mauser, 6.5×53.5mm Daudeteau or 6.5x52mm Carcano. (Becareful, know what your shooting if the right ammo for your firearm)
