One Cartridge, not a box: 6.5x65mm RWS (Rimless) by RWS of Germany. New production using new RWS brass cases with “RWS 6.5×65″ Head-Stamp and loaded with an RWS 127 grain Cone Point projectile. Red Primer Sealant. (This is not the French Navy’s 6.5x65mm Daudeteau, semi-rimmed cartridge).

History of 6.5×65 (RWS) and 6.5×65 R (RWS) cartridge: Both the 6.5x65mm RWS and 6.5x65Rmm RWS were developed and introduced by RWS in 1988 for European Sorting rifles: rimless cartridge for bolt-action rifles and and rimmed cartridges for the breach loading single-shot rifles.    History of RWS Company:For more than 100 years, RWS has manufactured all of its rifle ammunition exclusively at its headquarters in Fürth-Stadeln, Germany. Its origins can be traced back to 1855.    From 1931 until the spring of 2002, RWS belonged to Dynamit Nobel AG. Since then, we have been under the purview of RUAG Ammotec GmbH and have produced a wide range of products based on explosive compounds

Note on Metric designations:Normally, the first number is diameter of projectile in mm, the second is case lengthin mm (not overall length).  Example 7.62x51mm is 7.62mm (.30″ or 30 caliber) projectile and the 51 is case length in mm.If a R is added after the second number it means it is a rimmed cartridge.(mm = millimeters 1mm is 1/1000th. of a meter or 1/10 of a centimeter.
