One Cartridge, not a box!: 7mm Remington Bench Rest by Remington, now obsolete, factory manufactured with new brass with a “R-P 7mm BR REM” Head Stamp and loaded with a 140 grain JSP (Jacketed Soft Point) projectile.

History of the 7mm Remington Benchrest Cartridge:

The 7mm Benchrest Remington aka 7mm Rem. BR, started as a wildcat cartridge for the Remington XP-100 Silhouette pistol. Now you can get this caliber in a rifle or pistol barrel in the T/C Contender.The wildcat was made by necking down and shortening a 308 cartridge. Remington offered the cartridge in 1978 to sometime in the late 1980s to mid-1990s.For what it is worth, I now consider this an Obsolete Proprietary Pistol & Rifle Cartridge
