History of the 7mm, 6.5mm and .300 PRC cartridges:

The 7mm PRC (Precision Rifle Cartridge) was introduced in the Spring of 2023 after a year of advertising, it is joining the 300 PRC and 6.5 PRC, with their history below. The 7mm PRC will move a 7mm, 175 grain projectile out the barrel at 3,000 Feet per Second.

The 300 PRC was introduced in late 2018 (for military trials) and 2019 (commercially) the .300 PRC (Precision Rifle Cartridge) was created from the 375 Ruger case with a 30 caliber, 225 grain projectile moving at 2810 Feet per Second.

The U.S. Department of Defense added the Hornady 300 PRC Cartridge for its extended long range sniper program on December 6th, 2018, and awarded Barrett (BFMI) a contract to provide their MRAD rifle systems chambered in 300 PRC.

The 6.5 PRC (Precision Rifle Cartridge) introduced late 2019 or 2020 and is basically a shorted, necked down .375 Ruger case, moving a 6.5mm, 147 grain projectile out the barrel at 3,000 Feet per Second.
