History of the 9x19mm Luger cartridge:
The 9mm Luger, or Parabellum was introduced in 1902 by Georg Luger of DWM (Deutsche Waffen und Munitions Fabriken, formerly Ludwig Loewe & Company of Berlin, Germany.
The 9mm Luger has been used by almost every military in the world.
It has been used in handguns, machine guns and rifles.
It is the most popular* handgun cartridge and there are 1,000s of head-stamps and loads for this caliber.
*I know the 45 ACP is also popular, but the 9 mm is still on top , according to most publications, although the 45 ACP is by far more powerful.
