History of this caliber: Introduced in 1984, the 32 H&R was designed by H&R Co. (Harrington & Richardson Co.) and Federal Cartridge Company. The cartridge is basically the same as the 32 Smith & Wesson Long; however, it is 0.155″ longer. Velocity up to 1,100 feet per second and up to 230 foot pounds of energy.
