History of the 10.4mm Italian Ordnance Revolver Cartridge: 

The 10.4 mm Italian Ordnance Revolver Cartridge was developed in 1874 for the Chambelot-Delvigne revolver used in the Italian Army.Cartridges loaded with a lead bullet use a longer case than cartridges loaded with a metal jacketed bullet, like these specimens.

They were manufactured until the late 1930s, except for a production by Fiocchi of Italy, and custom making them from 44 S&W Special cases.
