Please Note: Single cartridges of this item are available see below in related items.History of 250 Savage cartridge:The .250″ diameter Savage was designed by Charles Newton and was originally called the.250-3000 as it was loaded with a (25 Caliber) 87 grain projectile and had a velocity of 3,000 feet per second.It was introduced to the public around 1915 for use in the Savage Model 99 lever-action rifle.Today it is normally commercially loaded with a 100 grain projectile.
