History of the .300 Winchester Magnum  Cartridge:
The .300 Winchester magnum was introduced in 1963 for the Winchester Model 70 bolt-action rifle.
Now many rifle manufacturers all over the world have rifles chambered in 300 Winchester Magnum chambered as the caliber has past the test of time .
The design is basically the .338 Winchester magnum case reduced to except 30 caliber (.308″) projectiles and has a slightly longer case by about 12/100″ then the .338 Winchester magnum.
A great long range 30 caliber cartridge for any North American large game.
