One Cartridge, not a box:  .300 Winchester Magnum produced  by Olin Corp. under Winchester Brand, factory loaded using (then) new Winchester brass cases with the “ W-W SUPER 300 WIN MAG”  Head-Stamp and loaded with a 180grain  PowerPoint CXP3 (see Pictiue) JSP (Jacketed Soft Point) projectile, with an extremely heavy crimp.  See the picture of 4 different CXP projectiles explained in above picture.

History of the .300 Winchester Magnum  Cartridge:
The .300 Winchester magnum was introduced in 1963 for the Winchester Model 70 bolt-action rifle.
Since then the cartridges has past the test of time and now many rifle manufacturers all over the world off the chambering in 300 Winchester Magnum.
The design is basically the .338 winchester magnum case reduced to except 30 caliber (.308″) projectiles and has a slightly longer case by about 12/100″ then the .338 Winchester magnum.
A great long range 30 caliber cartridge for any North American large game.
