One Cartridge, not a box: .338 Winchester Magnum produced by Hornady Manufacturing Company, USA using new Hornady brass cases with “ HORNADY 338 WIN MAG” Head-Stamp and loaded with a Hornady 250 grain SST or what I call a PTJHP (Plastic Tipped Jacketed Hollow Point) projectile.

History of the .338 Winchester Magnum Cartridge:
Introduced in 1958, the .338 Winchester Magnum is a a belted case, based on the .458 Winchester Magnum, necked down to except .338 ( .338″) caliber projectiles.
With chamber pressures at 53,000 P.S.I. ( pounds per squire inch) and pushing a 200 grain projectile at 3,000 F.P.S. (feet per second) and a 250 grain at over 2,700 fps this cartridge shoots a flat at 500 yards as most .30 calibers.
Making it a good close and long range cartridge for North American big game.
