One Cartridge, not a box: .35 Whelen, produced by Remington Arms Company, LLC, USA under the using new Remington brass cases with “ R-P 35 WHELEN” Head-Stamp and loaded with a 200 grain CORE-LOKT or JSP (Jacketed Soft Point) projectile.
History of the .35 Whelen Cartridge:The .35 Whelen was originally developed by basically widening the 30-06 case and keeping the same length to create a wildcat cartridge in 1922 by Col. Townsend Whelen for a rifle built by gunsmith James V. Howe (later known as the Griffin & Howe Company).After standardizing the wildcat with SAAMI, Remington started producing the .35 Whelen cartridge for the public around 1978 .
