History of the .38 Merwin & Hulbert Cartridge:
The Merwin, Hulbert & Company were producers of very fine firearms and ahead of their time in technology and machining.
They only produced firearms from app. 1876 to 1891 and, due to a fire, no factory records are available.
It is impossible to determine the actual number of precision Merwin & Hulbert firearms produced.
They produced revolvers, rifles and carbines in .32, .38 and .44 calibers.
