One Cartridge not a Box:  44 Auto Mag. by CDM Cartuchos Deportivos Mexico of Mexico. Obsolete!  Loaded, using (then new factory brass) with “ CDM .44 AUTO MAGHead-Stamp and 240 grain JHP (Jacketed Hollow Point) projectile and nickel primer. Due to age, cartridges may be dull (Patina) or partially dull.

History of the .44 Auto Mag cartridge:
Famous due to the movie: Beverly Hills Cop, the .44 Auto Mag cartridge was designed by the late Harry Sanford, (Auto Mag Corporation President in California) and the cartridge was introduced in 1971 for the 44 AMP pistol (Auto Mag Pistol).
Only 3,000 pistols were produced and the company declared bankruptcy in 1972.
The cartridge is basically a 30-06 or .308 case, cut down and trimmed to a length of 1.298 inches
It is basically a rimless .44 Magnum cartridge and has almost the same ballistics.
Other then custom made cartridges from 30-06 or 308 cases, the only production loaded
